Sermons, book reviews, articles and more from an Evangelical Canadian pastor
Evangelical: my convictions.
Not a political position, but a whole life orientation around the good news of Jesus: “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). After all, that’s what the Greek word evangel means: good news.
Canadian: my context.
Specifically, the Greater Vancouver area, maybe the most secular city in the western hemisphere. Christendom never existed here, which gives rise to unique challenges and opportunities. Opportunities and challenges that other parts of North America might soon experience!
Pastor: my calling.
I’m passionate about the local church. I believe Jesus has gifted and called me to be a shepherd, feeding His sheep and equipping them for growth in His kingdom, under His guidance as Chief Shepherd. That’s all I want to do here on this site: provide one more way for His sheep to be fed and equipped.
